Cornbread and Biscuits - the beginnings of the Stuffing.
Dave and Sarah preparing Dinner the night before
The beverage of choice . . .for Ian anyway :-)
Ian is Stuffing Man.
What is this thing?
Many hands at work.
Since everyone was a newbie to Thanksgiving, I only thought it was right that they should all partake in The Making of the Stuffing :-)
Providing direction
I think my housemates firmly believe that I have a control streak now. It's a fine line between between being a leader and being a law-giver. The mark of a good leader, though, is . . .
. . . Delegation of responsibility :-)
Sarah has a go at the Bird.
How's that for you, Ian?
Oh, yeah.
A cooperative effort.

John and Tara with the beginnings of the table preparation
Katie and her rolls
Now that's a bottle of Champagne, Elissa!
Nic made fantastic crepes with Dave's batter
Elissa's spinach and feta filling turned Nic's crepes into Placinta!
The Placinta was an effort of many hands, and turned out perfectly!
Dave, Tara, and John beginning the celebration with a bit of bubbly.
Placinta and champagne. Fantastic.
The Table
John, Sarah, and Doris.
Doris just finished her rowing race. She said that it was the thought of Thanksgiving that pulled her through :-)
Oh, the colours.
I was very impressed with the Gravy this time. Never sure how that's going to turn out. . .
The Bird was thoroughly overcooked. Oops.
Still haven't figured out that Aga yet.
Elissa and Doris
From Left to right: Elissa, Nic, John, Ian, Sarah, Tara, Doris. Dave and I must be cooking. I love this shot :-)
Dinner is served.
Post-Dinner conversation. Next up, Pumpkin pie and desert wine (both extraordinary).
Our Chinese Charades team.
An interesting game that involves the team lining up and the last person in the line is given a movie title by the other team. She has to tap the shoulder of the person in front of her and act out the title/movie. The actions continue up the line, with the last person guessing the movie title. I wasn't very good :-)
Something to do with a duck...
After the pie, we broke out the good stuff. Some enjoyed port. Nic here has Strathisla on the left and Laphroaig on the right. Good man.
One of my more dapper moments
Though our night ended with empty glasses, our hearts were full.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
