a watchtower
in the middle of the trees
cannot see very far

its purpose is taken
from inside the mind
of its creator

it makes sense
to have a watchtower here
when the purpose is to watch
not what is to be watched

the watchtower

Only a day late, I finally have the new website up for my sister Melissa. Yes, I know it looks a bit familiar, but that’s what she wanted (right Lis?) :-)
Have a look when you get the chance.

I finally got around to fixing the email notification problem with the site. All email notifications should not be working again. Sorry if you have tried to sign up before.

It's true. I've been here over three years now. See what I have to say in my latest Journal.

Next in my 'ride to work' series is the journey I made for two years from my house on Staverton Road to the James Martin Institute. See the journey, and read the story here. And if you missed the first installment, see what it was like going to work in Vienna this summer here.

Schloss IIASAYes, I realise we are way into Autumn now, but I have finally gotten around to putting up all of my pictures from this summer (or at least the ones I took on my digital camera). Head on over to the 2-D Manifestations area and check them out.

With a new term comes the new Termcard for the Oxford University Strategic Studies Group. While no longer president, I maintain an active role handling the website and the dinners. We’ve got an impressive list of speakers this term, including Major Generals, Professors, and UN project managers.

But more importantly, I completely redesigned their website :-) What do you think? (click on the name above to check it out). Lis, I’d be interested to hear any comments you or your office have…

MossMeOne of the Freshers at New College this year said that I looked a lot like Ronn Moss, from the soap opera the Bold and the Beautiful. Do I?

GereDadMy Dad often gets told he resembles Richard Gere. I’m not sure how I feel being associated with a soap opera star ;-)

I recently left my beautiful house at Staverton Road to move into New College. Here’s the shot you’ll most likely be seeing from my webcam for this year.

I’ll get some more pictures up in the 2D-Manifestation area once I get the room clean and everything put away.
