Starting up the blog
Koichi and I decided to start a little reading group in the James Martin Institute to discuss texts about cultural theory, as we are both using the theory in our research. There are a number of others in the Institute who use and/or critique the theory, and this is a way for them and the rest of the world to be a part of the discussion that the DPhils are having.
Feel free to comment on any of the posts, or to register and start posting your own ideas!
To start with, the posts will be grouped into two categories: ones that deal with a particular text, and ones that deal with a particular concept. We ask that, if you post on a text, the title of the post be the author(s) last name, the year of the text, and its title. So for instance, a post might be called “Thompson et al (1991) Cultural Theory”. This will make it easier in the future to find the discussion you want.
